AAAD: Known Issues and Fixes

As with any software, AAAD may encounter certain issues with specific devices or with particular apps, not only the AAAD app itself but also the apps it offers.

You can find the fixes below for known issues and you can contact the AAAD team to get help for these or any issues you found. Users can easily contact the AAAD help team through the app's interface (top right menu > “help”).

Oppo / Realme / OnePlus Devices

These devices may experience difficulties displaying apps or encountering the "No messages during drive" issue. AAAD provides a fix to resolve this problem.

Steps for fix of AAAD not working properly:

  • Open settings
  • Select app management then open the app list
  • Find and select "Package Installer"
  • Tap "Force stop"
  • Download Google's package installer and install it as a normal APK

After this, whenever a download is finished through AAAD, at least two options will appear for choosing how to install. Two icons for package installers should appear, DO NOT tap on the green one and DO NOT select the option to make it as default (always open with). You can then continue the installation normally.

Google Pixel Devices

Users of Google Pixel devices may encounter the "No new messages during drive" issue. AAAD offers a solution to address this issue before installing third-party apps.

An additional APK is required for the correct installation of AAAD programs

Fermata Auto Download

Users experiencing "App not responding (wait or close)" during Fermata Auto download.

Fermata is quite heavy to download and GitHub servers are not the easiest with downloads. Please keep pressing on "wait". If it does fail, select the top menu, select help and contact us through the app describing the steps you take to reproduce the issue.

My download failed because Google Play Protect saying Screen2Auto was malicious

Please take a deep look before downloading Screen2Auto to the popup that comes out from the AAAD app. Make sure you click on "Install anyway", and not the blue button that brings you to not install the app.

Reason for this warning

AAAD app itself or any apps within it does not contain any malware. Google Play Protect does not have any anti-virus feature , rather it just warns of apps that Google doesn’t like for various reasons. In this scenario, it’s safe to assume that the reason for this warning is Google does not want its users to tweak Android Auto as it could raise security concerns while driving. You can disable this warning by heading to the settings of Google Play Store.

Customer Support and Licensing

For users seeking assistance or support, AAAD provides a convenient help team accessible through the app. Users are encouraged to reach out, and the development team, though small, is dedicated to addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Users can also obtain a license for the PRO version directly within the app.

You can easily contact the AAAD help team through the app's interface (top right menu > “help”) or using the email address help.aaad@gmail.com
